PS1 Policy Statement (2007)

As a long established company (33 years) we need to keep our customers repeat business so it is our intention to :-

To provide the best quality of service to your heating equipment in the safest possible way.

To offer commercial and industrial RSO customers a 24 hour service with a same day response time. By prior arrangement.

To give a first class service at a reasonable cost in a clean and efficient way.

To carry out all work to the manufacturers requirements.

To answer all customers questions about our service procedures whilst on site in a courteous manner.

To be competitive with other companies carrying out the same quality of work.

To be favourably compared with other companies on a like for like basis.

To guarantee our workmanship for 12 months for service work.

To replace parts, failing under warranty, free of charge (we reserve the right to charge a fitting cost).

To guarantee new installations for a period of 2-3 years. (depending on system).

To train and maintain all our engineers up to the standard required by THE GAS SAFE REGISTER, OFTEC & HSE.

To ensure all engineers are always fully accredited under the UKAS schemes.

To apply at all times the Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Act 1998.

To apply at all times the standards set by OFTEC on all oil  fired equipment.

To always leave the customers site in a clean and tidy condition and clear away all our arisings.

Due to recent changes in the Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations which came into force in late 1998 and the fact that individual engineers, as well as the companies they work for, now have to be registered to work in the gas industry (each part of the gas industry requires separate registration). It is essential that we as a company follow Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998  to the letter. It is a legal requirement that we so do and failure to comply will mean that an individuals right, and the companies right,  to work is removed together with large fines being imposed. You as a customer should check that an engineer has the proper accreditation to work on the appliances in your premises. Commercial interests will always be taken into consideration but not to the extent that the Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998 are breached. In the interests of safety and to prevent confusion we apply the same legislation to all properties although we acknowledge that factories are governed by slightly different legislation in the Factories Act. We will always abide by the Health and Safety at Work Act.

All queries, but hopefully not complaints, should be addressed to Peter E. Bailey at pete@baileyjohns.co.uk.
